Percepções de Professores Indígenas em Formação sobre Violência Doméstica em Mato Grosso, Brasil

Abstract

A Faculdade Indígena Intercultural (UNEMAT) estuda relações de gênero relacionando as vivências nas comunidades. Na disciplina Direito e Legislação em 2008 e 2012 os direitos das mulheres indígenas foram verificados pela ótica constitucional e cultural. A Lei n.º 11.340/2006 disciplina a violência doméstica física, moral, patrimonial, sexual e psicológica com vínculo afetivo entre vítima e agressor. O Movimento das Mulheres Indígenas reivindica ao Estado brasileiro proteção e respeito aos seus direitos. Refletiram sobre o enfrentamento da violência, as complexidades étnicas multiculturais, problemáticas como drogas e álcool, inversão de papéis na cultura indígena e desestruturação familiar. O professor indígena deve compreender o mundo “ocidental” e exercitar as características da educação escolar indígena de ser multicultural, multilíngue, diferenciada, específica e intercultural.

The Intercultural Indigenous University (UNEMAT) studies gender relations and relates experiences in communities. In Law and Legislation, a subject lectured in 2008 and 2012, indigenous women’s rights were examined from a constitutional and cultural perspective. Law 11.340/2006 covers physical, moral, property-based, sexual and psychological domestic violence where there is a relationship between victim and aggressor. The Indigenous Women’s Movement demands protection and respect for their rights from the State. They reflected on facing violence, multicultural ethnic complexities, issues such as drugs and alcohol, role reversal in Indian culture and family structure. Indian teachers must understand the “western” world and ensure that indigenous schooling is multicultural, multilingual, different, specific and intercultural.
