actores. The increasing demand and therefore the value of the local seaside, led to a reorganization of the coastline changing the lives of coastal populations already exist. The purpose of this exercise is above all can make a contribution to the understanding of structure and social organization in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, belonging to a coastal marine environment. The case in particular takes on added interest through the adversity that the physical features, as well as raising an interesting challenge for social science. From a case study with exploratory purpose, we tried to identify elements that were significant in the dynamics and social cohesion on the periphery of Lisbon with tourist features.
