Dashboard operacional para empresa de táxis familiar

Abstract

Este projeto empresa visa a implementação de um "dashboard" operacional para melhorar a gestão de uma empresa familiar de táxis, em que o próprio autor é sócio, para além do pai e do irmão. No dia-a-dia da empresa faltava uma ferramenta operacional que permitisse ter uma visão clara e integradora da atividade do táxi e que pudesse ser o "driver" para uma tomada rápida de decisões, com o objetivo de melhorar a eficiência e a eficácia da empresa, traduzidas em aumento de produtividade, de rentabilidade e redução de custos. Não era pretendido qualquer investimento monetário adicional, por isso, foi realizada uma análise detalhada das soluções existentes no mercado que permitissem que o motorista de táxi registasse os seus serviços e despesas diárias e que essa informação fosse atualizada em tempo real para um serviço "cloud". Esta informação "online" é a base da elaboração do "dashboard" final, com visão integrada da operação ao nível dos serviços realizados e das despesas efetuadas. Era essencial ser uma solução simples, intuitiva, atualizada em tempo real e interpretável tanto pela gestão da empresa como pelo motorista. A solução escolhida baseia-se em Google Forms para recolha dos dados pelo motorista de táxi (que possui um smartphone Android), que posteriormente são gravados na "cloud" Google Drive. Esta informação, sempre atualizada, é acedida em tempo real por uma ligação dinâmica do Microsoft Excel com recurso ao "Power Query", sendo o "dashboard" final elaborado num ficheiro Excel refrescável residente na cloud Google Drive.

This project aims at the implementation of an operational dashboard to improve the management of a family taxi company, in which the author is a managing partner, in addition to his father and his brother. In the day-to-day life of the company, it lacked an operational tool that allowed a clear and integrated vision of the taxi daily activity and that could be the driver for a quick decision making, with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company, translated in higher productivity, profitability and less operating costs. No additional monetary investment was intended, so a detailed analysis was made of the existing solutions in the market that allowed the taxi driver to register the services and daily expenses, and that this information could be updated in real time to a cloud service. This online information serves as a basis for the producing of the final dashboard, with an integrated view of the operation at both services performed and expenses incurred. It was essential to be a simple, intuitive solution, updated in real time and interpretable by both the management of the company and the driver. The solution chosen is based on Google Forms for collecting data by the taxi driver (who owns an Android smartphone), which is later recorded on Google Drive cloud. This up-to-date information is accessed in real time by a dynamic Microsoft Excel link using Power Query, being the final dashboard located in a refreshable Excel file hosted by Google Drive cloud service.
