A Sociologia como disciplina em cursos de outras áreas científicas no ensino superior português

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas, a sociologia tem vindo a ganhar dimensão tanto ao nível do ensino, como da investigação em Portugal, com impacte também noutras áreas do conhecimento. Após contextualização teórica, no presente working paper é feito o ponto de situação das licenciaturas e mestrados integrados de outras áreas que lecionam uma disciplina de sociologia, cruzando ainda dados sobre o subsistema de ensino das instituições, as áreas de conhecimento dos cursos e a obrigatoriedade das disciplinas. Os resultados, obtidos mediante a análise dos planos curriculares, são comparados com os de estudos anteriores, contribuindo para a atualização do conhecimento neste âmbito.

act In recent decades, sociology has gained much importance at the teaching and research levels in Portugal, with impact also in other areas of knowledge. After theoretical contextualization, this working paper presents the current situation of undergraduate and integrated masters from other areas where a discipline of sociology is taught, also crossing data about the educational subsystem of the institutions, the knowledge areas of the courses and the mandatory of the disciplines. The results obtained by analyzing the curricula are compared with those of previous studies, contributing to the updating of knowledge in this area
