Amílcar Cabral e o regime de partido único em Cabo Verde

Abstract

O propósito desta investigação é dissertar sobre o tema Amílcar Cabral e o regime de partido único em Cabo Verde, explorando a influência do pensamento político do primeiro, na instauração do segundo. O objectivo é sistematizar e discutir o pensamento político de Amílcar Cabral (1960-1973), com realce para elementos considerados importantes para focar a análise do caso do partido único cabo-verdiano; bem como, compreender o processo de instauração do regime monopartidário em Cabo Verde à luz do pensamento político de Amílcar Cabral, nomeadamente mediante a explicação: (i) do processo da independência nacional, (ii) da instituição política e da implementação do processo eleitoral e (iii) da mensagem ideológico e programática do PAIGC/PAICV (1975-1990). Ora, a maior parte dos países africanos, na fase pós-colonial, adoptou o regime monopartidário, muitas das vezes por opção dos próprios líderes de libertação nacional. Como tal, torna-se difícil estudar este sistema político dissociado destes líderes políticos. Por seu turno, o caso de Cabo Verde é sui generis por comparação ao resto do continente africano. Todavia, o regime foi institucionalizado pela elite política da luta de libertação nacional e pelo PAIGC, entretanto seguiram o legado teórico-politico do líder da luta de libertação nacional de Guiné e Cabo Verde – Amílcar Cabral assassinado dois anos antes da independência do arquipélago. Como tal, parece interessante analisar a instauração do regime de partido único no caso cabo-verdiano, com incidência à influência do pensamento político dele. Por seu turno, a actualidade do pensamento de Amílcar Cabral tem despertado um vasto trabalho académico e científico pelo que o trabalho pretende contribuir para o estudo deste e enriquecer o debate teórico e metodológico do regime monopartidário em Cabo Verde.

The purpose of this research is to study Amilcar Cabral and the one-party regime in Cape Verde, exploring the influence of the political thought of the first and the introduction of the second. The goal is sistematize and discuss the political thought of Amilcar Cabral (1960-1973), with highlight for elements considered important to focus the analysis of the case of Cape Verde single party; as well as understand the process of introduction of the one party regime in the country in the light of the political thought of Amilcar Cabral, in particular through the explanation: (i) the process of national independence, (ii) the political institution and the implementation of the electoral process and (iii) the ideological and programmatic message of PAIGC/PAICV (1975-1990). Most of the African countries, in post-colonial phase, adopted the one party regime, most of times by option of own leaders of national liberation. For its part, the case of Cape Verde issui generis by comparison to the rest of the African continent. However, the regime was institutionalized by the political elite of the struggle for national liberation and the PAIGC, meanwhile followed the legacy of theoretical-political leader of the struggle for national liberation of Guinea and Cape Verde - Amilcar Cabral was assassinated two years before the independence of the archipelago. As such, it seems interesting to analyze the introduction of the one-party regime in Cape Verde, with incidence in the influence of his political thought. For its part, the current thinking of Amilcar Cabral has attracted a vast academic and scientific work by which this work aims to contribute to the study of this matter and enrich the theoretical and methodological debate of one party regime in Cape Verde.
