visam promover a generalização do acesso à Sociedade
Conhecimento Online (b-on).
com a b-on.
time equivalent).
Web of Science (WoS) a partir da qual se identificaram
os artigos indexados com afiliação institucional nas
universidades portuguesas. A partir daí, e através de
uma metodologia quantitativa, apuraram-se os Autores
com maior número de artigos indexados.
Posteriormente analisaram-se dados como: produção
por área científica, colaboração internacional, revistas
científicas com maior número de artigos públicados,
entre outros. In recent years several initiatives have been developed to promote universal access to Information and Knowledge Society. It was in this context that in 2004 arises in Portugal the Online Knowledge Library (b-on). With it, it became easier to get access to international scientific publications full text. This study is part of a PhD research project and aims to present and analyze some of the statistical and bibliometrical indicators of the Portuguese Scientific Production seeking to associate it with b-on. It was analyzed the usage of b-on resources by the public universities members of the consortium for the years from 2007 to 2011, and we chose as sample the five universities with more downloads per FTE (full time equivalent). In addition to the usage data of the consortium, we used the Web of Science (WoS) from which we identified the indexed articles with Portuguese universities affiliation. Thereafter, and through a quantitative methodology, we identified the authors with the largest number of indexed articles. Afterwards we analyzed other data like: scientific production per scientific area, international cooperation, scientific journals with the highest number of published articles, among others. |
