social (Vicente, Rebelo e Inverno, 2011), o Utrecht Work Engagement Scale numa
Schwartz, numa versão utilizada no European Social Survey, Supplementary
questionnaire, Round 1 (2002).
Imersão do Engagement no trabalho. Comprovou-se ainda que a Idade explica
positivamente as dimensões Marketplace e Workplace da perceção da RSE e as
dimensões Dedicação/Vigor e Imersão do Engagement no trabalho, a Função exercida
explica negativamente as três dimensões da perceção da RSE e a dimensão Resistência
do Engagement no trabalho. In a business context, it is clear the influence that employees engaged in the performance of the organization as well as the influence that certain practices and policies adopted by the company influence employees’ attitudes and behaviors. This research focuses on the study of possible relationships between the employees’ perceptions of corporate social responsibility, the work engagement and human values, in the various dimensions that constitute each construct. This study was supported by the use of three instruments, the scale of social responsibility (Vicente, Rebelo and Inverno, 2011), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale in an adapted version for the Portuguese case and the Portrait Values Questionnaire (PQV-21) of Schwartz, in the version used in the European Social Survey, Supplementary questionnaire, Round 1 (2002). The questionnaire composed by these three instruments was applied to a sample of 257 employees. Based on these results, can be concluded that work Engagement is positively explained by the employees’ perception of CSR, in the Marketplace and Workplace dimensions, presenting a mediator effect. It was also concluded that human values, highlighting the Conformism, explain negatively the tree dimensions of employees’ perception of CSR and the Dedication/Vigour and Immersion dimensions of work Engagement. It was also demonstrated that age explains positively the Marketplace and Workplace dimensions of the employees’ perception of CSR and the Dedication/Vigour and Immersion dimensions of work Engagement, and the position explains negatively the tree dimensions of employees’ perception of CSR and the Endurance dimension of work Engagement. |
