The sports’ world is very complex since it involves many interests to satisfy the differents intervenients which go from the athlete to the sports sponsors. It goes from jogging on the weekends to the scientists that study the athletes’ biomechanics trying to optimize the effort spent during a competition. In a world getting global, as Charles Darwin said it is not the stronger or the intelligent that win but the ones that adapt. So, this case puts together these two worlds: the worlds of sports and the business world, more specifically, Archery and the Portuguese Archery Federation which is the organization that “manages” the sport in Portugal. Along with the case it is shown information about the way the Federation is organized and there will be made innumerous analysis that help to know in a more profound way the reality of this sport in Portugal and the weak position that FPTA has in the current days. The information obtained helps to draw recommendations and conclusions helping the organization to make this sport grow in Portugal. |
