Qual a estratégia para o tiro com arco em Portugal? : caso de estudo

Abstract

O mundo do desporto é muito complexo, visto envolver muitos interesses para satisfazer os diferentes intervenientes do fenómeno desportivo, desde o simples praticante aos patrocinadores de eventos. Abrange, não só, várias atividades como as de lazer, a “corridinha” de fim-de-semana, mas também pessoas como os cientistas que estudam a biomecânica dos atletas de forma a otimizar o esforço durante uma competição. Num mundo cada vez mais global, como dizia Charles Darwin, não são os mais fortes ou mais inteligentes que vencem mas os que melhor se adaptam. O presente caso pedagógico junta estes dois mundos: a prática desportiva e a gestão organizacional, mais concretamente, o Tiro com Arco e a Federação Portuguesa de Tiro com Arco, entidade que tutela este desporto em Portugal. Neste estudo irá surgir diversa informação sobre a forma como está organizada a Federação e serão feitas várias análises que ajudam a interpretar e a conhecer, de uma forma mais profunda, a realidade deste desporto em Portugal, bem como a posição débil que a mesma tem nesta atual conjuntura. A informação obtida permite traçar recomendações e conclusões que ajudem a Federação Portuguesa de Tiro com Arco a melhorar e a fazer crescer este desporto em Portugal.

The sports’ world is very complex since it involves many interests to satisfy the differents intervenients which go from the athlete to the sports sponsors. It goes from jogging on the weekends to the scientists that study the athletes’ biomechanics trying to optimize the effort spent during a competition. In a world getting global, as Charles Darwin said it is not the stronger or the intelligent that win but the ones that adapt. So, this case puts together these two worlds: the worlds of sports and the business world, more specifically, Archery and the Portuguese Archery Federation which is the organization that “manages” the sport in Portugal. Along with the case it is shown information about the way the Federation is organized and there will be made innumerous analysis that help to know in a more profound way the reality of this sport in Portugal and the weak position that FPTA has in the current days. The information obtained helps to draw recommendations and conclusions helping the organization to make this sport grow in Portugal.
