O percurso: De Campolide ao Parque Florestal de Monsanto

Abstract

O presente trabalho, desenvolvido no âmbito de Projeto Final do Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura, tem como principal objetivo propor uma visão prospectiva sobre as relações territoriais que o Parque Florestal de Monsanto estabelece com a malha urbana que o envolve. A actual proposta, de caráter integral, admite o Aqueduto das Águas Livres, como elemento fundamental para a integração e o desenvolvimento de uma intervenção caracterizada por um urbanismo e arquitetura que conjugam a preservação e articulação do património cultural que atravessa. Neste âmbito, pretende-se evidenciar a potencialidade da articulação territorial entre o Parque Florestal de Monsanto e os Bairros da Liberdade e da Serafina, áreas intersectadas pelo troço monumental do Aqueduto, no Vale de Alcântara, e propor uma estratégia urbana que vise salvaguardar o património natural e edificado existente nesta área, e contribuir para a criação de uma nova paisagem urbana.

This work, developed as part of the Final Project for the Integrated Master’s Degree in Architecture, has as its main objective to propose a prospective view of the territorial relationships that Monsanto Forest Park establishes with the urban environment that surrounds it. The current proposal, which is comprehensive in nature, recognizes the Águas Livres Aqueduct as a fundamental element for the integration and development of an intervention characterized by urban planning and architecture that combine the preservation and articulation of the cultural heritage it crosses. In this context, the project intends to highlight the potential for territorial articulation between Monsanto Forest Park and the neighborhoods of Liberdade and Serafina, areas intersected by the monumental section of the Aqueduct in Vale de Alcântara, and to propose an urban strategy that aims to safeguard the natural and built heritage existing in this area and contribute to the creation of a new urban landscape.
