Nível de escolaridade dos emigrantes portugueses em Espanha, 2001-2021

Abstract

Analisa-se o nível de escolaridade da população portuguesa residente em Espanha, com base em dados censitários. O documento acompanha a evolução das qualificações académicas dos emigrantes portugueses ao longo das últimas duas décadas (2001-2021) e examina a sua posição relativa face a outras comunidades estrangeiras e à população espanhola. Através desta análise, identificam-se tendências de mudança no perfil educativo da emigração portuguesa, bem como persistências e contrastes relevantes no contexto migratório espanhol.

This statistical report examines the educational attainment of the Portuguese population residing in Spain, drawing on census data. It examines the evolution of the academic qualifications of Portuguese emigrants over the last two decades (2001–2021) and assesses their relative position in comparison with other foreign-born communities and the Spanish population. Through this analysis, the study identifies trends of change in the educational profile of Portuguese emigration, as well as significant continuities and contrasts within the Spanish migration context.
