Promoção da literacia em saúde através de ferramentas digitais: Uma revisão sistemática

Abstract

As ferramentas digitais tornaram-se num mecanismo acessível a todos para utilização em diversas áreas. A saúde é uma das áreas onde podem e devem ser utilizadas, explorando as suas vantagens e o impacto na promoção de literacia em saúde. Neste contexto, este estudo procurou explorar os principais motivos que levam à falta de literacia em saúde, e as consequências que traz à população e às unidades de saúde. Além disto, explorou o recurso a soluções digitais existentes e adotadas pelos profissionais de saúde como forma de promover a literacia. Podendo criar oportunidades para atuar nestas falhas combatendo a falta de literacia. A exploração destes motivos, consequências e soluções digitais, foi realizada por meio de uma revisão sistemática de literatura. Recorreu-se à metodologia PRISMA, tendo sido considerados no final 42 artigos científicos para o estudo. Os resultados revelaram que há inúmeros motivos para baixa literacia em saúde, nomeadamente as condições socioeconómicas e o baixo nível educacional. Nas soluções digitais, o conceito de e-Health foi a solução que se apresentou mais relevante para a promoção da literacia em saúde, mostrando ser uma ferramenta útil quer para tratamento, diagnóstico ou acompanhamento em questões de saúde. Concluir-se que as soluções digitais são ferramentas que apoiam a divulgação da literacia em saúde, facilitando o trabalho dos profissionais de saúde tornando o acompanhamento do paciente mais próximo e rápido. Ainda assim, o facto de ter um alcance a nível mundial faz com que os dados e as informações erradas possam ser facilmente partilhados em todo o mundo.

Digital tools have become a mechanism accessible to everyone for use in various areas. Health is one of the areas where it can and should be used, exploring its advantages and impact in promoting literacy in health. In this context, this study sought to explore the main reasons that lead to the lack of literacy in health, and the consequences it brings to the population and health units. In addition, it has explored the use of existing and adopted digital solutions by health professionals to promote literacy. It can create opportunities to address these shortcomings by combating the lack of literacy. The exploration of these reasons, consequences and digital solutions was carried out through a systematic review of literature. It resorted to the PRISMA methodology, having been considered at the end 42 scientific articles for the study. The results revealed that there are numerous reasons for low literacy in health, namely socio-economic conditions, and low educational level. In digital solutions, the concept of e-Health was the most relevant solution for the promotion of literacy in health, proving to be a useful tool either for treatment, diagnosis, or follow-up in health issues. To conclude that digital solutions are tools that support the dissemination of literacy in health, facilitating the work of health professionals making the patient's follow-up closer and faster. Nevertheless, the fact that it has a global reach means that wrong data and information can be easily shared around the world.
