Nô Guiné! Contributos para um projeto de inventário digital colaborativo do património cultural na Guiné-Bissau

Abstract

A atmosfera em torno da preservação do património cultural guineense é deveras preocupante por diversos motivos, políticos, económicos e sociais. A consciência da salvaguarda dos bens patrimoniais, é existente em alguns agentes culturais que, de acordo com as suas possibilidades, lutam contra a gradual destruição destes bens que refletem a identidade cultural e social da sua nação. No entanto, num país em que a preservação do património cultural não representa uma grande prioridade e ainda não se encontra definido uma estratégia pública para o património cultural, esta não é uma missão fácil. Por este motivo, apresenta-se um trabalho de projeto que tem como objetivo desenvolver um instrumento digital de identificação, inventariação e divulgação de todo o tipo de património presente no espaço geográfico da Guiné-Bissau. Propondo uma abordagem colaborativa, que visa a inclusão da comunidade no processo de gestão e valorização dos seus bens patrimoniais. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, primeiramente, foi elaborada uma análise e enquadramento do contexto cultural e político, as iniciativas e projetos realizados em torno desta temática. De seguida, com recurso ao método de observação descritiva e exploratória, foi realizado um primeiro levantamento dos bens patrimoniais presentes no espaço geográfico da cidade de Bissau, com o fim de recolher uma pequena parcela do Património Cultural em presença. Por fim, além de um guia de inventariação, foi desenvolvida uma proposta visual de uma plataforma digital -website e aplicação móvel- para albergar o inventário e o mapeamento cultural dos bens culturais guineenses.

The atmosphere surrounding the preservation of Guinea-Bissau's cultural heritage raises several concerns due to political, economic, and social reasons. The recognition of the need for safeguarding heritage assets is present in some cultural agents who, according to their possibilities, fight against the gradual destruction of these assets that materialize the cultural and social identity of their nation. However, in a country where the preservation of cultural heritage is not a high priority and where public cultural heritage policies have yet to be defined, this is not an easy mission. For this reason, it is presented a project which aims to develop a digital instrument for identifying, inventorying, and disseminating all types of cultural heritage in Guinea-Bissau, through a collaborative approach, which aims to include the community in the management and valorization of its heritage assets. To achieve the proposed objective, the methodology uses consisted first, of an analysis and definition of the cultural and political framework and the initiatives and projects carried out around this theme. Then, using the descriptive and exploratory observation method, an initial survey was carried out of the heritage assets present in the geographical space of the city of Bissau, with the aim of collecting a small portion of the cultural heritage present in Guinea-Bissau. Finally, in addition to an inventory guide, a visual proposal was developed for digital platform - website and mobile application - to host the collaborative inventory and a cultural mapping of Guinea-Bissau's cultural heritage.
