Diversidade cultural na construção de identidade nacional no Carnaval da Guiné-Bissau

Abstract

O carnaval é uma das maiores manifestações culturais na Guiné-Bissau, e um espaço onde as diferentes práticas culturais e sociais do país são exibidas de forma livre e espontânea, mas também são pautadas para reforçar a guineendadi. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender o contributo das expressões culturais carnavalescas para a construção da identidade nacional. A pesquisa se baseia numa abordagem antropológica, com entrevista semiaberta e revisão bibliográfica. Acredita-se que este trabalho além de demonstrar a importância do carnaval na construção do imaginário nacional guineense, vai possibilitar a compreensão das dinâmicas sociais à volta desta festividade, nomeadamente, a relação interpessoal e grupal no carnaval, processos sociais e transmissão de valores culturais, a produção de arte urbana na Guiné-Bissau. O carnaval tem grande importância no que diz respeito a cristalização de Guineendadi, através dele o slogan unidade na diversidade é reforçado no meio dos guineenses. O carnaval é um espaço da união dos povos guineenses e, também, lugar onde diferentes grupos étnicos conseguem se expressar.

Carnaval is one of the biggest manisfestations in Guiné-Bissau. It is a space for different social and cultural practices are displayed in a free and spontaneous way, but they are guide to reinforce Guineendadi. The objective of this work is to understand the contribuitions of carnaval cultural expressions to constructions of national identity. The research is based on an anthropological approach with the semi-open interview and bibliographic interview. It is believed that this work, in addition to show the importance of carnaval in the construction of Guinean national imaginary, will make it possible to understand the dynamics around this festivity, namely: the social processes and transmission of cultural vlues and art production in Guinea-Bissau. Carnaval is one of the great importance with regard to the cristalization of guineendadi. Through it the slogan unity and diversity is reforced among guineans. The Carnaval is space for union of guinean people where different ethnic groups can express themselves.
