Caracterização da evolução da indústria de fundos investimento mobiliário em Portugal

Abstract

O trabalho ir-se-á centrar num estudo de caso em Finanças e tem como objectivo ilustrar de forma muito detalhada o que tem sido a evolução do mercado dos fundos de investimento mobiliário em Portugal. Pretende-se efectuar uma caracterização exaustiva relativamente à tipologia dos Fundos, do respectivo enquadramento legal da actividade, que medidas se utilizam para analisar a rendibilidade dos mesmos, que riscos a que estão expostos e, por fim, desenvolver uma análise mais pormenorizada quanto à evolução das categorias de fundos, caracterizando a carteira de activos que os compõem, a estrutura de mercado, onde tentar-se-á destacar os fundos com maior peso no mercado nacional, tendo por base a comparação, sempre que possível, com o que observou na indústria dos fundos de investimento da Zona Euro.

This work focuses on a case study in finance and aims to illustrate in great detail what has been the evolution of the market of securities investment funds in Portugal. It is intended to make an in-depth examination for the types of funds, their legal framework of activity, what measures are used to analyze the profitability of them, what risks they are exposed to. Therefore developing a more detailed analysis on the evolution of categories of funds characterizing the portfolio of assets, which comprise the market structure. Hence highlighting the funds with the highest weight in the domestic market, based on the comparison, whenever possible, with what was observed in Euro zone’s Mutual Funds industry.
