Impacto das redes sociais na produtividade dos estudantes do ensino superior

Abstract

Intitulada Impacto das redes sociais na produtividade dos estudantes do ensino superior, esta dissertação visa responder à questão de investigação: “Qual o impacto das redes sociais na produtividade dos estudantes do ensino superior?”. Para tal foram definidos os seguintes objetivos: perceber se os estudantes utilizam ou utilizaram dispositivos TI; saber de que forma foram ou são utilizadas as redes sociais em ambiente académico; perceber quais as principais finalidades das redes sociais para os utilizadores; analisar que ferramentas são utilizadas no estudo; perceber que dispositivos são utilizados no estudo; estudar quais os benefícios das redes sociais no ambiente académico e recolher quais são as consequências, na produtividade, da utilização das redes socias pelos estudantes. Seguidamente, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura e construiu-se um questionário dirigido aos antigos e atuais alunos do ensino superior, público-alvo deste estudo. Desta forma realizou-se um questionário a 152 participantes com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 68 anos sobre Redes Sociais(RS), a sua utilização, bem como o estudo do perfil de utilizador, e perceção da influência das RS nos inquiridos. O principal critério era frequentar ou ser diplomado do ensino superior. Foram várias as questões que ajudaram a medir os diversos impactos, positivos ou negativos, que as RS tiverem na vida dos estudantes. Por último analisaram-se os resultados obtidos. Concluiu-se que a maioria dos inquiridos possui computador pessoal e todos têm smartphone e internet em casa, contudo menos de metade conhece o conceito de web 2.0. As apps mais utilizadas são as redes sociais.

Entitled as the Impact of social networks on the productivity of higher education students, this dissertation aims to answer the research question: “What is the impact of social networks on the productivity of higher education students?”. Therefore, the following objectives were defined: to understand whether students use or used IT devices; to know how social networks were or are used in an academic environment; understand the main purposes of social networks for users; analyze which tools are used in the study; realize which devices are used in the study; study the benefits of social networks in the academic environment and collect the consequences, on productivity, of the use of social networks by students. Then, a literature review was carried out and a questionnaire was created for former and current higher education students, the target audience of this study. Thus, a questionnaire was carried out to 152 participants aged between 18 and 68 years old about Social Networks (SR), their use, as well as the study of the user profile, and perception of the influence of SR on the respondents. The main criterion was attending or having graduated from higher education. Several questions helped to measure the different impacts, positive or negative, that the SR had on the students' lives. Finally, the results obtained were analyzed. It was concluded that most respondents have a personal computer, and all have a smartphone and internet at home, but less than half know the concept of web 2.0. The most used apps are social networks.
