Formação contínua e qualidade do emprego

Abstract

O âmbito desta dissertação é analisar a formação contínua no mercado de trabalho em Portugal. Deste modo, relacionar-se-á a formação laboral com a satisfação no trabalho e a qualidade do emprego. É, assim, essencial identificar a evolução da formação profissional em Portugal ao longo das últimas décadas, bem como investigar se existe investimento nesta área por parte das empresas. Será, igualmente, realizada uma comparação entre as condições laborais em alguns países europeus: Portugal; Espanha; Alemanha; Suécia e Grécia. Para a realização deste estudo, recorrer-se-á ao sexto inquérito do European Working Conditions Survey, do ano de 2015, que estuda as condições laborais na europa. Será construído um indicador de qualidade do emprego, que permitirá tirar conclusões sobre o modo como os trabalhadores dos diferentes países avaliam o seu trabalho. Com base numa questão do inquérito, será também avaliada a satisfação no trabalho dos colaboradores, dos países em investigação. Como tal, torna-se possível relacionar e identificar as diferenças, compreendendo de forma mais concreta, o funcionamento do mercado laboral em alguns países europeus. Através dos resultados do inquérito, foi possível decifrar que existe espaço para melhoria na área em investigação, não só em Portugal, como também nos restantes países selecionados. É, assim, vital identificar os motivos pelos quais a formação contínua pode ter um papel fulcral para o desenvolvimento profissional dos recursos humanos e, consequentemente, das organizações.

The scope of this dissertation is to analyse On-the-Job Training in the labour market in Portugal. In this way, it will relate On-the-Job Training with job satisfaction and job quality. It is essential to identify the evolution of On-the-Job Training in Portugal over the last decades, as well as to investigate whether there is investment in this area by companies. A comparison will also be made between the working conditions in some European countries: Portugal, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Greece. For this study, we will use the sixth survey of the European Working Conditions Survey of the year 2015, which studies working conditions in Europe. A job quality indicator will be constructed, which will allow conclusions to be drawn on how workers in different countries evaluate their work. Based on a question from the survey, the job satisfaction of workers in the countries under investigation will also be assessed. This will make it possible to relate and identify differences and gain a more concrete understanding of how the labour market functions in some European countries. Through the results of the survey, it was possible to decipher that there is room for improvement in the area under investigation, not only in Portugal, but also in the other selected countries. It is therefore essential to identify the reasons why On-the-Job Training can play a key role in the professional development of human resources and, consequently, of organizations.
