The Business Research Unit of the Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, BRU, is a scientific research entity accredited by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), a governmental organism. The Unit is oriented to multidisciplinary research within the broad areas of economics and management. In order to consolidate as a Top level research Unit and to provide Iscte with the best business and management education in Portugal, the Unit has progressively altered its structure. Membership rules were tightened, research groups were reorganized and renamed, and their scope of investigation narrowed in line with researchers’ interests and the Unit’s research vocation. BRU is functionally organized into eight Research Groups that mirrors our multidisciplinary strengths: Economics Finance Financial and Management Accounting Management and Strategy Marketing Modelling in Business and Economics Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Research Methods.
