This thesis analyzes the effects of new ways of working (NWW) on individual performance and on the health and well-being of employees, based on three specific objectives. The first objective is to understand the role of the individual's relationship with work, analyzing the role of work engagement as a mediator between NWW and individual performance. The results of the study show that work engagement plays a mediating role between NWW and individual performance. The second objective proposes to understand the role of the relationship between individuals and the organization, through the mediation of organizational empowerment. The results show that the OE does not have a mediating effect in the relationship between the NWW and the individual performance variable. Finally, the third objective aims to analyze how the relationship of individuals with work and with the organization impact on their health and well-being, through the mediation of WE and OE between the NWW and health and well-being, more specifically depression. It was observed that there is effectively a WE mediation between NWW and the variable, since depression values decrease when work engagement increases. On the other hand, OE does not represent a mediation between NWW and depression. In general, the study results contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between NWW and individual performance and well-being of individuals. |
