Humanização das cidades inteligentes: O caso de Lisboa

Abstract

As cidades inteligentes constituem um novo paradigma urbano, uma nova forma de estar e de viver na urbe. Impulsionadas pela globalização e pela revolução digital, possibilitam a híper conectividade entre máquinas e destas com as pessoas. Os objetos passam assim a ter mais do que o propósito lógico para que foram criados, e através de sensores recolhem dados que podem ser usados para melhorar o funcionamento da cidade. Uma cidade, independentemente da inteligência artificial, é feita de pessoas e para pessoas, tendo, portanto, como objetivo principal a melhoria constante da qualidade de vida dos seus cidadãos. Para que tal aconteça, o poder municipal deve ter a capacidade de envolver os cidadãos nas iniciativas criadas para desenvolver a inteligência da cidade. Com este trabalho, centrado em um estudo desenvolvido por questionário, pretende-se perceber em que medida os cidadãos acompanham as iniciativas em curso para transformar Lisboa em uma cidade inteligente, qual o seu grau de envolvimento nesse processo e que potenciais medidas podem ser tomadas para fomentar a participação ativa dos mesmos nesta construção.

Smart cities constitute a new urban paradigm, a new way of being and living in the city. Driven by globalization and the digital revolution, they enable hyper connectivity between machines and between machines and people. The objects thus have more than the logical purpose for which they were created, and through sensors they collect data that can be used to improve the functioning of the city. A city, regardless of artificial intelligence, is made of people and for people, and therefore its main objective is to constantly improve the quality of life of its citizens. For this to happen, the municipal power must have the capacity to involve citizens in the initiatives created to develop the city's intelligence. With this work, centered on a study developed by questionnaire, it is intended to understand to what extent citizens follow the ongoing initiatives to transform Lisbon into a smart city, what is their degree of involvement in this process and what potential measures can be taken to promote their active participation in this construction.
