Turismo industrial: Uma riqueza mal aproveitada em Portugal: Projeto de desenvolvimento para reinventar o turismo e a educação nas empresas da Rede Mulher Líder

Abstract

O Turismo Industrial é ainda uma riqueza subaproveitada em Portugal, pelo que a Rede Mulher Líder (RML) – lançada pelo IAPMEI – tem a expectativa de poder contribuir para o seu desenvolvimento, reinventando o turismo e a educação. Assim, o principal objetivo deste projeto é apresentar uma proposta de implementação de uma rede de Turismo Industrial em Portugal focada em Indústrias Vivas, no âmbito da Rede Mulher Líder. Para tal, foi analisado o conceito de Turismo Industrial na literatura, as motivações para os visitantes realizarem atividades de Turismo Industrial, os benefícios para as empresas em oferecer serviços de Turismo Industrial, bem como as principais barreiras à oferta deste tipo de serviços. Adicionalmente, foi elaborado um exaustivo benchmarking sobre a oferta de Turismo Industrial pelo mundo, tendo em vista aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o âmbito da oferta e as melhores práticas, como fundamento à proposta de implementação da rede de Turismo Industrial em Portugal no contexto das empresas da Rede Mulher Líder.

Industrial Tourism is still an underutilized wealth in Portugal, and the Rede Mulher Líder (RML) – by IAPMEI – expects to be able to contribute to its development, reinventing tourism and education. Thus, the main objective of this project is to present a proposal for the implementation of an Industrial Tourism network in Portugal focused on Living Industries, within the scope of the Rede Mulher Líder. With this aim, it was analyzed the concept of Industrial Tourism in the literature, the motivations for visitors to carry out Industrial Tourism activities, the benefits for companies in offering Industrial Tourism services, as well as the main barriers to offering this type of services. Additionally, an exhaustive benchmarking on the offer of Industrial Tourism around the world was prepared, with a view to deepening the knowledge on the scope of the offer and the best practices, as a basis for the proposal to implement the Industrial Tourism network in Portugal in the context of the companies of the Rede Mulher Líder.
