Estratégias interculturais mobilizadas pelos assistentes sociais na promoção da parentalidade positiva

Abstract

A presente dissertação intitulada "Estratégias interculturais mobilizadas pelos assistentes sociais na promoção da parentalidade positiva" tem como objetivos identificar e analisar as estratégias interculturais utilizadas pelos assistentes sociais e sistematizar os impactos da diversidade cultural na promoção da Parentalidade Positiva. Utilizamos nesta pesquisa o método qualitativo, com recurso a entrevistas semiestruturadas e uma entrevista em profundidade, no sentido de compreender a perceção dos profissionais relativamente a esta temática. Posteriormente, procedeu-se à análise de conteúdo das entrevistas através do programa MAXQDA. Através da investigação realizada, é possível concluir que as assistentes sociais revelam ter um elevado nível de sensibilidade intercultural e demonstram utilizar estratégias interculturais ao longo da intervenção com famílias culturalmente diferentes, adaptando assim a intervenção às especificidades de cada família. No entanto, as mesmas manifestaram ser essencial investir na formação ao longo da prática profissional nesta área, em temáticas específicas associadas à Superdiversidade, Cultura e Interculturalidade, de forma a aumentarem o seu conhecimento intercultural e estarem mais preparadas para intervir com as famílias detentoras dessas especificidades.

This dissertation entitled "Intercultural strategies mobilized by social workers in the promotion of positive parenting" aims to identify and analyze the intercultural strategies used by social workers and systematize the impacts of cultural diversity in promoting positive parenting. In this research, we used the qualitative method, using semi-structured interviews and an in-depth interview, in order to understand the perception of professionals regarding this theme. Subsequently, the content analysis of the interviews was carried out using the MAXQDA program. Through the research carried out, it is possible to conclude that social workers reveal a high level of intercultural sensitivity and demonstrate that they use intercultural strategies throughout the intervention with culturally different families, thus adapting the intervention to the specificities of each family. However, they showed that it is essential to invest in training throughout their professional practice in this area, on specific issues associated with Superdiversity, Culture and Interculturality, in order to increase their intercultural knowledge and be more prepared to intervene with families with these specificities.
