Crianças adotadas: os efeitos da sua devolução nas equipas técnicas

Abstract

Esta dissertação analisa os efeitos da devolução de crianças adotadas e o seu impacto nas equipas técnicas de adoção e sistematiza as estratégias de coping que são utilizadas para ultrapassar os momentos e/ou processos negativos na vida destes profissionais. Ao longo da dissertação apresentamos conceitos e teorias que permitem enquadrar teoricamente o tema bem como, o contexto onde desenvolvemos a pesquisa empírica, ou seja, a equipa da Unidade de Adoção e Apadrinhamento Civil e Acolhimento Familiar. Utilizámos nesta investigação uma metodologia qualitativa, com recurso ao método indutivo de forma a analisar e interpretar o tema em estudo. A fim de recolher os dados foi realizada, numa primeira etapa análise documental e, posteriormente optou-se pela utilização de uma abordagem qualitativa, particularmente a realização de entrevistas. A técnica de tratamento de dados utilizada foi a análise de conteúdo, por ter sido realizado um estudo de caso e, por permitir descrever e interpretar documentos bem como, formular questões de partida norteadoras do estudo. A interpretação dos dados obtidos foi feita através de inferência, por um lado compreender o significado da mensagem e, por outro, compreender o emissor e recetor. Concluímos que os efeitos que as devoluções de crianças adotadas nas equipas técnicas de adoção são diversos e têm efeitos profundos, mas que existem diversas estratégias de coping importantes para que os profissionais consigam ultrapassar estas experiências negativas.

This dissertation analyze the effects of the return of adopted children and their impact on the technical adoption teams, systematizes the coping strategies that are used to overcome the negative moments and/or processes in the lives of these professionals. Throughout the dissertation we presente concepts and theories that allow us to theoretically frame the theme, as well as the context where we developed the empirical research, that is, the team of the Civil Adoption and Patronage Unit and Family Welcome. We used in this investigation a qualitative methodology, using the inductive method in order to analyze and interpret the theme under study. To collect the data, documentar analysis was carried out in a first stage and, subsequently we opted for the use of a qualitative approach, particularly the conduct of interviews. The data processing technique used was contente analysis, because a case study was carried out and, it also allows us to describe and interpret documents as well as to formulate starting questions that guide the study. The interpretation of the obtained data was made through inference, on the one hand understanding the meaning of the message and, on the other hand, understanding the sender and receiver. We concluded that the effects that the discards of children adopted in the technical teams of adoption are diverse and have profound effects, but that there are several important coping strategies for professionals to overcome these negative experiences.
