Ecos del Tercer Reich: reflexiones estéticas sobre la instrumentalización cuerpo femenino

Abstract

Este projeto de dissertação reflete sobre a instrumentalização dos corpos sobretudo o corpo feminino, na Alemanha nazi (1933 - 1945). Essa análise será feita através de determinados elementos visuais como o cinema de Leni Riefenstahl e o design gráfico das revistas Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), examinando-os como elementos-chave de propaganda e normalização dos discursos e ações do Terceiro Reich. A atenção à dimensão estética como recurso para moldar e doutrinar a sociedade durante a construção da ideia de nação do estado totalitário é um dos pontos de abordagem deste documento. A reflexão parte da questão: de que forma certas ideologias e ideais estéticos moldam a mente e o corpo da sociedade? Na verdade, veremos como a estetização pode camuflar e ajudar a normalizar de ações violentas e discurso de ódio. O legado do Terceiro Reich, ao nível discursivo e estético permanece até agora. Quantas histórias distópicas parecem ter inspiração em acontecimentos reais? A análise e identificação de determinados valores estéticos, que idealizaram e normalizaram os corpos através da propaganda e artes visuais, permitem refletir sobre os ecos desse regime, transcendendo no tempo e evidentes na ficção e realidade contemporânea.

This dissertation project reflects on the instrumentalization of bodies, especially the female body, in Nazi Germany (1933 - 1945). This analysis will be done through certain visual elements such as Leni Riefenstahl's cinema and the graphic design of the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) magazines, examining them as key elements of propaganda and normalization of the Third Reich's speeches and actions. Attention to the aesthetic dimension as a resource to shape and indoctrinate society during the construction of the nation's idea of the totalitarian state is one of the points of approach in this document. The reflection starts from the question: how do certain ideologies and aesthetic ideals shape the mind and body of society? In fact, we will see how aesthetics can camouflage and help normalize violent actions and hate speech. The legacy of the Third Reich, at the discursive and aesthetic level, remains until now. How many dystopian stories seem to be inspired by real events? The analysis and identification of certain aesthetic values, which idealized and normalized bodies through advertising and visual arts, allow us to reflect on the echoes of this regime, transcending time and evident in fiction and contemporary reality.
