Palhota: tipologias de adaptação em pré-catástrofe

Abstract

É objetivo a contribuição com soluções em zonas de cheia, neste sentido estuda a Palhota por ser um caso paradigmático de arquitetura em leitos de rio. Em meados do século XIX, perante a necessidade de encontrar subsistência complementar para escapar aos ásperos invernos da costa portuguesa, inicia-se um fluxo migratório sazonal entre a Vieira de Leiria e o rio Tejo, por parte de uma comunidade piscatória, os Avieiros. Aqui encontram condições favoráveis para exercer a pesca e atividades complementares no cultivo de campos agrícolas. Perante um tema de Projeto Final de Arquitetura (PFA), que visa efetuar um olhar crítico sobre a aldeia da Palhota, propõese inicialmente o estudo da cultura Avieira que se mudou para o Rio Tejo, com o intuito de entender que condições levaram ao acontecimento destas movimentações entre terras, e por consequência levou à fixação desta cultura nas margens do rio Tejo, efetuando um olhar mais atento sobre a aldeia da Palhota, procurando dar a conhecer as especificidades da cultura a nível sociológico, gastronómico e arquitetónico. Finalmente, este trabalho permitiu a compilação e a sistematização das soluções tipológicas encontradas enquanto resposta a situações similares às da Palhota. Correspondendo assim como um complemento que informa a vertente prática de PFA, sobre a melhor forma de intervenção num local que pede a adaptação às regulares cheias que afetam a área, de modo a manter este Património de Interesse Municipal e a cultura Avieira, em condições merecedoras das suas qualidades.

The objective is the contribution with solutions in flood zones, in this sense studies Palhota for being a paradigmatic case of architecture in river beds. In the mid-nineteenth century, faced with the need to find complementary subsistence to escape the harsh winters of the Portuguese coast, a seasonal migratory flow begins between Vieira de Leiria and the Tagus River, by a fishing community, the Avieiros. Here they find favorable conditions for fishing and complementary activities in the cultivation of agricultural fields. Before a theme of Final Design of Architecture (PFA), which aims to make a critical look at the village of Palhota, it is proposed initially the study of Avieira culture that moved to the Tagus River, in order to understand what conditions led to the an event that led to the establishment of this culture on the banks of the Tagus River, with a closer look at the village of Palhota, seeking to make known the specifics of culture at the sociological, gastronomic and architectural levels. Finally, this work allowed the compilation and systematization of typological solutions found in response to situations similar to those of Palhota. Corresponding thus as a complement that informs the practical side of PFA, on the best form of intervention in a place that asks for the adaptation to the regular floods that affect the area, in order to maintain this Heritage of Municipal Interest and the culture Avieira, under conditions deserving of their qualities.
