Conceptualizando a
maximização do retorno esperado. The difficulties of financing Small and Medium Enterprises in Portugal have been a reoccurring issue in these last decades. The emergence of alternative ways of financing as a form of collaborative financing, i.e. crowdfunding, crowdlending, amongst others, ended up contributing to put at ease the embarrassment that was being felt. These topics have not yet been deepened and stable when it comes to the Portuguese market, despite the increasing demand made by SMEs. This study aims to show the determinant factors to the financing of SMEs through crowdlending platforms. 540 financings conceded to SMEs through the portuguese crowdlending platform Raize from 2015 to the 31st of December 2017 were analysed. Conceptualizing the research made in the decision variables "perceived risk", "required remuneration", "amount", "maturity" and "number of offers", we sought to identify the factors that had most influence within the investor’s choice at the moment of decision, through the analysis of nonparametric correlations between those variables. The obtained results show a behaviour contrary to loss aversion when faced with a high probability of loss of the value invested, as well as an increase in the amount invested, thus concluding that investors who finance projects through crowdlending platforms intend to finance projects with greater risk associated, aiming to maximize the expected return. |
