rotina do dia-a-dia destes jovens.
Living with a disease it´s a challenge, which gets as much harder as the more unexpectedly the illness arises, as well as with the degree of its severity and the degree of disability it causes in the life of the individual. Referring to childhood and adolescence, phases that are so important in the life of any human being, the reactions of this unknown experience may bring feelings of fear, distress, depression and apathy that impact the daily routine of these young people. This is a qualitative, inductive approach study. It uses semi-structured interviews to children and young with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus to understand the psychosocial impact of this chronical disease in childhood and adolescence and to reflect about the role of the Social Work´s intervention in Health. |
