Deste modo, compreendemos as trajetórias profissionais; a contribuição do
Deste modo, as entrevistadas,
This project sought to understand the motivations and constraints of thirteen self-employed women when they set up their own business. We also analyzed whether they knew and made use of the employment policies advocated by the State. This analysis was carried out simultaneously with the study and exposition of the themes intrinsic to the issue of the insertion of women in the labor market, such as the effect of gender, discrimination and labor segregation. In this sense, semi-directional interviews were carried out, with the construction of the script and the analysis of the interviewees' discourse being subdivided into three groups: the context of each woman, the decision-making phase and the execution of the business itself, in order to be possible understand the experiences as a whole. In this way, we understand the professional trajectories; the contribution of school and social networks to the realization of their own business, as well as issues related to policies to support the creation of their own business. We conclude that although women have different contexts, about professional trajectories, there are many common points regarding the motivations for achieving one's own job, which results from the instability resulting from situations of unemployment and job insecurity, or from constraints associated with working for others. The importance of social networks is highlighted, attributing in particular centrality to the family dimension during the whole process, which allowed its continuity through psychological and financial help. There are bureaucratic and time-consuming procedures, which hampers the process, especially for women who have used policies to support self-employment. Regarding the disclosure of the measures, the women interviewed consider that there is a weak disclosure, noting the difficulty of transmitting concrete information by the institutions involved in the implementation of the measures. Thus, interviewees, regardless of their educational qualifications, are aware of policies in a very general way, which has made access difficult. |
