uso pelas pessoas idosas.
Technology is an important tool to increase quality of life in elderly people, being therefore crucial understand what are the factors that influence the use by these peoples. The present study explores the indicators of the use of technologies and the impact on the use of technologies in the attitudes and intentions of using technologies in older people. A total of 115 elderly individuals aged 65 years or over participated in this study. They were submitted to three evaluation moments (initial, continuous and final). In the course of one month computerized tablets have been made available in six day care centers. The results showed a reduction of computer anxiety, an increase in selfefficacy, an improvement in attitudes, an increase in the intention to use and some dimensions associated with actual usage. Some dimensions appear to be positively correlated with effective use. Intention to use does not have a significant effect on the relationship between perceived utility and the actual use nor on the relation between the perceived ease of use and the effective use. These results show relevant implications for interventions that promote the adoption of technologies by older adults. |
