Pensar a reconfiguração do ensino doutoral na interface universidade-empresa: contextualização e proposições teórico-empíricas

Abstract

As relações entre a universidade e o tecido empresarial no ensino doutoral têm vindo a merecer atenção nos discursos políticos e académicos, tanto na Europa como em Portugal. No entanto, são ainda poucos os estudos que focam esta intersecção. Neste working paper apresenta-se uma contextualização do tema com base em dados estatísticos oficiais. Apresenta-se ainda uma revisão de literatura sobre ligações empresas-universidades, ensino doutoral e a sua combinação, que permite identificar o já adquirido pela empíria e as lacunas existentes. Sistematizam-se ainda temáticas e variáveis relevantes para o estudo sobre as reconfigurações do ensino doutoral em Portugal, sobretudo as decorrentes das parcerias universidade-empresa.

In Portugal, and all across Europe, the relations between the university and the business community in doctoral education have been deserving attention in political and academic discourses. However, there are still few studies that focus on this intersection. This working paper presents a contextualization of the theme based on official statistical data. It also presents a review of the literature on business-university links, on doctoral education and their combination. This allows to identify what has already acquired from empirical studies as well as some existing gaps. Relevant thematic and variables are also systematized in order to study the reconfigurations of doctoral education in Portugal, especially those that result from university-business partnerships.
