Projetos juvenis e orientação escolar no ensino secundário

Abstract

À partida para esta investigação, pretendia-se conhecer o papel da ação e da estrutura sociais, e a forma como estas se articulam, na construção dos projetos juvenis dos jovens do 12º ano, pelo que o principal objetivo passava por perceber se os projetos juvenis são construídos pelos jovens recorrendo ao seu habitus ou à sua reflexividade. Para concretizar tal objetivo, foi privilegiada uma metodologia de caráter intensivo que permite maior profundidade de observação do objeto. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas a Alunos, Professores e Psicólogos, para conhecer as suas crenças, atitudes e motivações. Após o tratamento destas entrevistas, através de uma análise de conteúdo, foi possível perceber que a maioria dos alunos, independentemente da via de ensino que frequentam, têm como aspiração a continuidade dos estudos no ensino terciário, mas apenas alguns estão devidamente informados dos requisitos para conseguir atingir esse objetivo. Informações essas recebidas principalmente no seio familiar, uma vez que não frequentam a orientação institucional. Por outro lado, pela forma como a oferta educativa está estruturada, praticamente impossibilita que os alunos dos Cursos Profissionais consigam concretizar os seus objetivos no que diz respeito ao prosseguimento de estudos no ensino terciário, uma vez que lhes cria obstáculos quase intransponíveis.

On departure for this research was intended to know the role of action and social structure, and the way they articulate in the construction of the youth projects of young people of the 12th year, so the main goal of this work is realize if the youth projects are built by young people using their habitus or its reflectivity. To achieve this goal, it was prime an intensive character methodology that allows greater depth of observation of the object. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with students, teachers and psychologists, to know their beliefs, attitudes and motivations. After treatment of these interviews, through content analysis it was revealed that most students regardless of teaching through attending, have the aspiration to continue their studies in tertiary education, but only a few are adequately informed of the requirements to be able to achieve this goal. This information received mainly in the family, since they do not attend institutional orientation. On the other hand, the way the educational offer is structured, almost prevents the students of Professional Courses able to achieve their objectives with regard to the continuation of studies in tertiary education, once it creates them almost insurmountable obstacles.
