Direitos das pessoas séniores: um debate no serviço social entre direitos humanos e direitos sociais

Abstract

Este trabalho de investigação sobre os direitos das pessoas seniores analisa e interpreta o conceito de isolamento, tendo em conta as suas causas e consequências, assim como, a intervenção do Serviço Social, no âmbito dos Direitos Humanos e Sociais. Assim pretendemos aprofundar o conceito e saber se o isolamento é interpretado e analisado da mesma forma por toda as pessoas. Existirá diferença na forma como a sociedade vê, o conceito de envelhecimento e de isolamento, da forma como os próprios séniores o vêm? É a estas e muitas outras questões que tentar-se-á responder ao longo desta investigação. Para a realização desta investigação utilizamos como metodologia, o método dedutivo e indutivo, como técnica de recolha de dados as entrevistas, sendo analisadas qualitativamente, quanto à técnica de tratamento de dados é empregada uma análise documental / análise de conteúdo aos processos pessoais de cada sénior, surgindo a possibilidade de se apontar três tipos de categorias em análise: o significado de isolamento / solidão (por parte da sociedade e por parte do próprio sénior), quais as razões para o isolamento e quais as formas de o enfrentar usando por base os direitos sociais e mundiais. O resultado desta pesquisa evidenciou que, entender o significado de isolamento na visão dos séniores é fundamental nos dias de hoje. Analisando este significado para os séniores – isolamento social, económico ou relacional, percebem-se diferenças entre os que buscam, na solidão, momentos de reflexão, e os que deixam de viver, em função de perdas significativas e, também, nas estratégias de enfrentar a solidão, tanto do ponto de vista individual, como no que diz respeito à intervenção do Serviço Social sobre o fenómeno.

This research on the rights of seniors analyzes and interprets the concept of isolation, taking into account the causes and consequences, as well as the intervention of Social Services, under the above, taking into account the Human Rights and Social. Based on this was given the name of "the rights of seniors. A debate between the Social Services Human and Social Rights. "So we intend to reinforce the concept and whether the insulation is interpreted and analyzed the same way by all people. Is there a difference in how society views the concept of aging and isolation, how come the seniors themselves? It is to these and many other issues that will try to answer throughout this investigation. In carrying out this research as the methodology used, the inductive method and deductive method as a technique for data collection interviews, and analyzed qualitatively, and the data processing technique employed is a documentary analysis / content analysis to personal files of each senior, resulting in the possibility of three types of point categories analyzed: the significance of isolation / loneliness (by society and by the very senior), the reasons for the isolation and the ways to address this by using basic and global social rights. The result of this research showed that, understand the meaning of the vision of senior isolation is essential nowadays. Analyzing this mean for seniors - social isolation, economic or relational perceive differences between those who seek, in solitude, moments of reflection, and those who fail to live, due to significant losses, and also the strategies to face the loneliness, both the individual point of view, as with regard to the intervention of social work about the phenomenon.
