A transmissão geracional do bem estar subjectivo e do suporte social

Abstract

O objectivo deste estudo é analisar a transmissão geracional do bem estar subjectivo e do suporte social, em três gerações de linhagem directa, assim como verificar o efeito do estatuto sócio-económico. Os participantes são 30 famílias, contendo três gerações, perfazendo um total de 90 membros de linhagem directa (avós, pais e filhos). Para recolha dos dados foi utilizado um questionário de auto relato composto pelas escalas das variáveis em estudo. Os resultados revelam que o Bem Estar Subjectivo e o Suporte Social são parcialmente transmitidos entre os membros da família, existindo diferenças neste processo. Verificou-se também uma relação intergeracional entre o Suporte Social e o Bem Estar Subjectivo, revelada entre duas das três gerações estudadas. Quanto ao estatuto sócio económico, não se verificou influenciar o Bem Estar Subjectivo e o Suporte Social das gerações e das famílias. Podendo-se concluir que o estudo da transmissão geracional do Bem Estar Subjectivo e Suporte Social, assume grande relevância na sociedade actual, sendo a compreensão deste processo fundamental para a melhoria das redes afectivas e da qualidade de afectos a serem transmitidos nos contextos onde estamos inseridos.

The gold of the present study is to analyze the generational transmission of subjective well-being and social support in three generations of direct lineage, as well as the effect of their socio-economic status. Participants are 30 families with three generations, a total of 90 members of direct lineage (grandparents, parents and children). To collect the data we used a self-report questionnaire composed of the scales of the variables under study. The results show that subjective well-being and social support is partially transmitted between family members, there are differences in this process. There is also an intergenerational relationship between social support and subjective well-being, revealed between two of the three generations studied. Regarding the socio-economic status does not influence the subjective well-being and social support of families and generations. It can be concluded that the study of generational transmission of subjective well-being and social support is of great importance in today's society, and the understanding of this process is essencial for the improvement of emotional networks and quality of emotions to be transmitted in contexts that involve us.
