Festival literário Maratona de Leitura: Perceções, motivações e envolvimento da população da Sertã

Abstract

Os festivais literários têm vindo a proliferar nos últimos anos um pouco por todo o país e, de alguma forma, tornaram-se parte da vida das comunidades que os acolhem. São eventos organizados no âmbito das Políticas Públicas da Cultura, onde as autarquias são um dos principais organismos impulsionadores, que encontraram neles uma estratégia para contribuir para a dinamização cultural e para o desenvolvimento cultural, social e económico dos territórios. A presente Dissertação de Mestrado, realizada no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos e Gestão da Cultura, tem como principal objetivo conhecer a opinião, o envolvimento afetivo, as perspetivas e as motivações da população residente no concelho da Sertã, relativamente ao Festival Literário Maratona de Leitura, que acontece anualmente naquele concelho, no início do mês de julho. A metodologia deste trabalho de investigação desenvolveu-se em duas vertentes. Em primeiro lugar, com recurso aos indicadores do KIT CISOC, foi possível contribuir para a avaliação do Festival Literário Maratona de Leitura relativamente às edições que decorreram nos anos 2022, 2023 e 2024. Em segundo lugar, aplicou-se um inquérito por questionário com o propósito de conhecer o seu público, especificamente o que reside no concelho da Sertã, no que diz respeito às suas perceções, envolvimento e motivações para participar no referido Festival Literário.

In recent years literary festivals have been gaining increasing popularity throughout the country and have, to a certain extent, become a part of the life of the communities that host them. They are events organised within the framework of the Public Policies on Culture set of initiatives, where local authorities are one of the main driving entities, having found in them a strategy for contributing towards cultural revitalisation and to the cultural, social and economic development of local regions. The principal objective of this Master’s thesis, conducted as part of a Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies and Management, is to ascertain the opinions, emotional involvement, points of view and motivations of the population resident in the Sertã municipality, in regard to the Reading Marathon Literary Festival (Festival Literário Maratona de Leitura ) event, which takes place annually in that municipality at the beginning of July. The methodology of this research project developed following two aspects. Firstly, by using KIT CISOC indicators, it was possible to contribute towards the assessment of the Reading Marathon Literary Festival (Festival Literário Maratona de Leitura) in relation to the editions which took place in the years 2022, 2023 and 2024. Secondly, a questionnaire was implemented in order to survey the event’s audience, specifically those members resident in the Sertã municipality, in terms of their perceptions, involvement and motives for participating in the aforementioned Literary Festival.
