Tecnologias na educação: A utilização e aceitação das TIC nas instituições de ensino superior de Cabo Verde

Abstract

As Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs) estão em crescimento exponencial na atualidade, e, consequentemente, é um desafio para a educação cabo-verdiana. A educação tecnológica torna-se necessária diante desta missão que almeja a emancipação do ser humano. Por isso, deve abranger o maior número de professores, já que todos farão parte de uma sociedade tecnológica. Diante da intensa utilização da tecnologia surge a necessidade de analisar e repensar a sua utilização e aceitação e instituir debates sociais sobre os benefícios, sentidos e implicações para a atualidade e para o futuro, seja no contexto local ou global. Diante do exposto, essa dissertação se propõe a refletir sobre: "Tecnologias na educação: A utilização e aceitação das TIC (Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação) nas Instituições de Ensino Superior de Cabo Verde". Com o objetivo de obter dados que permitam compreender de que forma os docentes do ensino superior utilizam as TIC nas IES de Cabo Verde, bem como as necessidades que sentem relativamente ao seu uso, será aplicado um inquérito por questionário aos professores que lecionam nessas instituições. Como base para o estudo, utilizar-se-á a Teoria Unificada de Aceitação e Uso de Tecnologia (UTAUT), para construir o questionário e realizar o estudo inferencial, permitindo avaliar o nível de aceitação das TIC pelos professores nas Instituições de Ensino Superior de Cabo Verde e quais as necessidades que estes sentem no que diz respeito às TIC.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are currently growing exponentially and, consequently, it is a challenge for Cape Verdian education. Technological education becomes necessary in the face of this mission that aims at the emancipation of the human being. Therefore, it must cover the largest number of teachers, since everyone will be part of a technological society. Given the intense use of technology, there is a need to analyse and rethink its use and acceptance and to institute social debates on the benefits, meanings and implications for today and the future, whether in a local or global context. In view of the above, this dissertation proposes to reflect on: Technologies in Education: the use and acceptance of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) in Higher Education Institutions in Cape Verde. In order to obtain data to understand how the higher education teachers use ICT in the Higher Education Institutions in Cape Verde and their needs, we will apply a questionnaire survey to the teachers of the Higher Education Institutions in Cape Verde. As a basis for the study, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) will be used to construct the questionnaire and carry out the inferential study, allowing us to assess the level of acceptance of ICT by teachers in the Higher Education Institutions of Cape Verde, and what needs they feel with regard to ICT.
