HMS Triathlon Series e a sua projeção para o ano 2025

Abstract

O tema abordado, procura desenvolver um projeto que teve o seu início no ano 2024 e que procura crescer gradualmente. No primeiro ano que este modelo vai ser realizado vão existir apenas duas provas de triatlo, sendo as provas as seguintes: LIDL Setúbal Triathlon e Sines Triathlon 24. Foi realizada uma pesquisa, sobre os eventos desportivos nacionais e internacionais, procurando o que de bom já está a ser realizado no mercado e transpor para a HMS Triathlon series. A projeção feita para 2025 é com base nos participantes de diversos eventos desportivos e dos atletas presentes nas respetivas federações. No futuro são projetados dois cenários, ou seja, podem ser provas de triatlo isoladas ou provas de triatlo com a acréscimo de provas de modalidade isolada, neste caso de águas abertas e atletismo. No primeiro cenário seria adicionar uma prova à HMS Triathlon series, ou seja, no primeiro ano teríamos 2 provas e em 2025 seria adicionada mais uma. No segundo cenário seria adicionar uma prova de águas abertas e uma de atletismo às provas de triatlo já existentes e à prova de triatlo projetada para o primeiro cenário. No segundo cenário o tempo das 5 provas, 3 de triatlo e 2 de modalidade isolada, será contabilizado de igual modo para a classificação geral, ganhando o HMS Triathlon series o atleta que fizesse menos tempo nas 5 provas.

The topic discussed aims to develop a project that will begin in 2024, with plans to grow gradually. In the first year of this model, there will only be two triathlon events: the LIDL Setúbal Triathlon and the Sines Triathlon 24. Research was conducted on national and international sporting events to identify the best practices already being implemented in the market, which could be incorporated into the HMS Triathlon Series. The projection for 2025 is based on participants from various sporting events and athletes registered with the respective federations. Looking ahead, two scenarios are projected: either the events will remain standalone triathlon races or they will include additional individual events, specifically open water swimming and athletics. In the first scenario, a third triathlon event would be added to the HMS Triathlon Series, meaning that in the first year there would be two races, and in 2025 a third would be introduced. In the second scenario, an open water swimming event and an athletics event would be added alongside the existing triathlons, including the third triathlon event projected in the first scenario. In this second scenario, the times from all five events—three triathlons and two individual sports—would count equally towards the overall ranking. The winner of the HMS Triathlon Series would be the athlete with the shortest total time across all five events.
