Leitura social em meio digital: Um estudo de caso do grupo Doses de Leitura

Abstract

Este estudo investiga o fenômeno da leitura social digital em meio online, com foco sobre as dinâmicas interativas do grupo Doses de Leitura (DDL) no Facebook, composto majoritariamente por jovens leitores brasileiros. A pesquisa busca entender como as interações no grupo DDL transformam os hábitos de leitura dos seus membros e a prática de leitura tradicional. Desta forma, quer-se compreender de que maneira as novas tecnologias e as redes sociais online transformam as práticas de leitura, promovendo interações sociais e a troca de experiências literárias. Para responder a essa questão, foi realizada uma análise mista, que combinou abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa, unindo observação das interações do grupo através de análise de conteúdo e função de postagens, com a aplicação de um inquérito online voluntário aos seus membros. Assim, foram analisados os hábitos de leitura dos participantes, revelando uma preferência marcante por e-readers e uma dependência das recomendações e interações dentro do grupo para acesso a novos autores e títulos. Os resultados indicam que, embora a leitura digital tenha ampliado o acesso a conteúdos literários, a leitura física ainda desempenha um papel significativo na vida dos leitores. A pesquisa revela que a participação ativa no grupo modifica significativamente os hábitos de leitura, com as redes sociais online operando como plataforma de contato e compartilhamento e incentivando a troca de recomendações literárias.

This study investigates the phenomenon of digital social reading in an online environment, focusing on the interactive dynamics of the Doses de Leitura (DDL) Facebook group, made up mostly of young Brazilian readers. The research seeks to understand how the interactions in the DDL group transform the reading habits of its members and the practice of traditional reading. In this way, we want to understand how new technologies and online social networks transform reading practices, promoting social interactions and the exchange of literary experiences. To answer this question, a mixed analysis was carried out combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, combining observation of the group's interactions through content analysis and the function of posts, with the application of a voluntary online survey to its members. The participants' reading habits were analyzed, revealing a marked preference for e-readers and a dependence on recommendations and interactions within the group for access to new authors and titles. The results indicate that although digital reading has expanded access to literary content, physical reading still plays a significant role in readers' lives. The research reveals that active participation in the group significantly modifies reading habits, with online social networks operating as a platform for contact and sharing and encouraging the exchange of literary recommendations.
