Rota dos moinhos do Barreiro: O património cultural como base de desenvolvimento territorial

Abstract

A presente dissertação teve a finalidade de inquirir modelos de gestão cultural, os quais nos possam dar pistas para melhor compreendermos um modelo mais apropriado para o desenvolvimento de uma rota tendo como objeto um bem patrimonial. A pesquisa realizada teve como objetivo aprofundar o conhecimento de alguns modelos, a operar no terreno, que possam aportar informação para a construção de um entendimento do modelo que pode ser mais adequado para a dinamização de uma rota de visitação a implementar no Barreiro tendo como base de apoio o seu património moageiro. Partimos da identificação dos objetivos e características dos recursos existentes e políticas no Barreiro, e fomos aferir outros casos, os quais assentes em património imóvel, e já implementados, têm gerado dinâmicas no desenvolvimento dos respetivos territórios Identificámos e analisámos as dinâmicas culturais que, de forma genérica, foram sendo realizadas no nosso país, e o lugar do Barreiro dentro desse movimento. Por fim, investigámos exemplos de outras iniciativas similares, visando o reconhecimento e clarificação das ferramentas institucionais e atividades necessárias à operacionalização de um programa/rota cultural no território do Barreiro.

This dissertation aims to inquire into models of cultural management, which can give us clues to better understand a more appropriate model for the development of a route having as object a set of heritage assets. The research carried out aims to deepen the knowledge of some real models, operating on the ground, which can provide information for the construction of an understanding of the model that may be more appropriate for the dynamization of a visitation route to be implemented in Barreiro based on its milling heritage. We started from the identification of the objectives and characteristics of the existing resources and policies in Barreiro, and we went to assess other cases, which based on immovable heritage, and already implemented, have generated dynamics in the development of their territories. We identified and analyzed the cultural dynamics, in a generic way, were being carried out in our country, and the place of Barreiro within this movement. Finally, we investigated examples of other similar initiatives, aiming at the recognition and clarification of the institutional tools and activities necessary for the operationalization of a cultural program/route in the territory of Barreiro.
