Abstract

A obesidade é uma doença com enorme impacto na saúde, sobrevida e qualidade de vida dos indivíduos e que promove marcada redução da produtividade laboral. Constitui um dos maiores desafios dos sistemas de saúde (com tendência de enorme crescimento durante as próximas décadas) e apresenta custos elevados para as populações e governos. Com o desenvolvimento de estratégias eficazes de tratamento da obesidade, tal como a cirurgia bariátrica, surgem pacientes sem obesidade mas com deformidades do contorno corporal motivados pela pele e gordura em excesso. Na mesma proporção que aumentam os pacientes com deformidades do contorno corporal aumenta a procura por cirurgia plástica para corrigir essas deformidades. Os sistemas de saúde públicos e seguradoras não asseguram o tratamento da maioria destes pacientes por escassez de recursos e por considerarem os mesmos como cirurgia estética. Acresce ainda a enorme limitação e listas de espera para consultas e cirurgias do sistema nacional de saúde e a inexistência de oferta de soluções especializadas em contexto de medicina privada. Ciente destas necessidades, do mercado existente com tendência crescente e das oportunidades referidas surge este plano de negócios. Pretende recolher dados e informação sobre o mercado, analisando-o e defininindo estratégias que permitam a criação de valor através da criação de uma clínica médica especializada. Pretende também analisar a viabilidade do negócio no contexto nacional e propor uma estratégia de implementação.

Obesity is a disease with a huge impact on individuals' health, survival and quality of life, promoting a marked reduction in labor productivity. It constitutes one of the greatest current challenges for health systems (with a trend of enormous growth over the next decades) and presents high costs for populations and governments. With the development of effective obesity treatment strategies, such as bariatric surgery, patients without obesity but with body contour deformities motivated by excess skin and fat have emerged. In the same proportion that the number of patients with body contour deformities increases, the demand for plastic surgery to correct these deformities increase. Public health systems and insurance companies do not ensure the treatment of most of these patients due to scarce resources and because they consider them cosmetic surgery. In addition, there are huge limitations and waiting lists for consultations and surgeries in the national health system and a lack of specialized solutions in the context of private medicine. Aware of these needs, the existing market with a growing trend and the aforementioned opportunities, this business plan is created. Intends to collect data and information about the market, analyze it and define strategies that allow the creation of value through the implementation of a specialized medical clinic. It also intends to analyze the viability of the business in the national context and propose an implementation strategy.
