O projeto LAR na aldeia da Ima: Estratégias alternativas para a inclusão de refugiados e imigrantes em Portugal

Abstract

A presente dissertação centra-se na temática da inclusão de refugiados e imigrantes no meio rural em Portugal de forma a compreender se ela poderá mitigar os efeitos do envelhecimento da população e do despovoamento no interior do país. Através do trabalho de campo etnográfico realizado ao longo da pesquisa no meio rural, pretende-se analisar o impacto do Projeto LAR - Love and Respect na estratégia de acolhimento de refugiados e a sua inclusão numa aldeia. A investigação procura tecer as várias vertentes onde o caso de estudo toca a social, a económica, a territorial, a cultural e a ambiental. A inclusão é, assim, o mote da pesquisa para pôr em evidência a relação simbiótica que há entre as migrações e a ativação de caminhos para o desenvolvimento rural.

This dissertation focuses on the theme of the inclusion of refugees and immigrants in rural areas in Portugal, in order to understand whether it can mitigate the effects of population ageing and depopulation in the country's interior. Through the ethnographic fieldwork carried out throughout the research, it is intended to analyse the impact of the LAR Project – Love and Respect on its strategy of welcoming refugees and their inclusion in a village. The research seeks to weave the various strands where the case study touches: the social, the economic, the territorial, the cultural and the environmental. Inclusion is thus the motto of the research to highlight the symbiotic relationship between migrations and the activation of paths for rural development.
