Observar os observadores n’O Bando: como podem o teatro e a investigação científica ser tão desafiantes?

Abstract

Este working paper assume um carácter, essencialmente, exploratório e inicia-se com a observação in vivo de uma experiência de trabalho teatral e de investigação científica. Nesta experiência participaram cinco equipas de investigadores internacionais do Projeto Europeu ARGOS. O projeto juntou universidades de França, Bélgica, Grécia e Portugal, cientistas e observadores com perfis profissionais diversos e a equipa artística d’O Bando, o encenador, o dramaturgista, a responsável pelo movimento e coralidade e três atores. O paper faz uma aproximação preliminar às semelhanças, diferenças e desafios do trabalho artístico e científico. Salienta-se o potencial das relações da experiência de investigação científica com a produção de diferentes níveis de conhecimento. Finalmente, destaca-se o potencial heurístico dos diálogos de uma “comunidade de práticas”, construída com os observadores do projeto. Utilizam-se as notas do diário de campo, as fotografias e as palavras dos artistas e cientistas, alternadas e em diálogo.

This working paper is essentially exploratory and starts with the observation in vivo of a creation work experience in theatre and scientific research in which took part international teams of researchers of the European Project ARGOS. This project brought together universities in France, Belgium, Greece and Portugal, a combination of observers with several professional profiles, and, finally, the artistic teams from the Portuguese theatre group O Bando: the director, the playwright, three actors, and the responsible for the movement and voice. A summary view of the similarities, differences and challenges of scientific and artistic work is presented in this paper, together with an analysis of the potential relationship between the scientific research experiment and the production of different levels of knowledge. Finally, the article presents the heuristic potential of dialogues and a “community of practice” within the observers community. Logbook notes, photographs and the words of artists and scientists are used alternately and in dialogue.
