O contributo da satisfação com as condições físicas de trabalho na saúde do trabalhador

Abstract

O trabalho e a saúde são preponderantes nos estudos organizacionais, particularmente, porque a conceção de saúde se alterou para o estado de completo bem-estar e o trabalho porque ameaça esta condição. Assim, o desafio passa pela conjetura de organizações salutogénicas. Na relação entre ambos destaca-se a importância da satisfação com as condições físicas laborais. Partindo desta premissa e acompanhando a ênfase dada à saúde percecionada, o objetivo deste trabalho passa pela compreensão do impacto direto desta mesma satisfação nas queixas subjetivas de saúde, verificando-se que estas estão negativa e significativamente associadas, à exceção da gripe e, corroborando a importância da satisfação profissional procurou-se também confirmar a associação direta entre ambas, concluindo-se que estão positiva e significativamente relacionadas. Complementarmente, na tentativa de situar esta relação no seu atual paradigma estudou-se também o Capital Psicológico e procurou-se avaliar o impacto indireto das mesmas condições sobre o Capital Psicológico via mediação da satisfação com o trabalho e, concluiu-se que a satisfação com as condições físicas e com o trabalho estão positiva e significativamente associadas com o Capital Psicológico e ainda que a mediação se atesta, embora de forma parcial. Os dados foram recolhidos em oito espaços laborais com recurso a um questionário e, envolveu também uma fase de observação e levantamento de algumas características objetivas com recurso ao microlog/multilink. A importância deste estudo reside na inovação da associação de variáveis e na consolidação empírica acerca da relação entre as mesmas o que, em termos práticos, se reflete no êxito individual e organizacional.

Work and health are preponderant in organizational studies, particularly because the conception of health has changed to the state of complete well-being and work because it threatens this condition. Thus, the challenge comes from the conjecture of salutogenic organizations. The connection between these two concepts highlights the importance of satisfaction with physical labor conditions. Based on this premise and following the emphasis given to perceived health, the objective of this work is to understand the direct impact of this same satisfaction on subjective health complaints, being verified that these are negatively and significantly associated with the exception of flu and, corroborating the importance of professional satisfaction was also sought to confirm the direct association between both, concluding that they are positive and significantly related. Complementarily, in the attempt to situate this relation in its current paradigm, the psychological capital was also studied and it was tried to evaluate the indirect impact of the same conditions on the psychological capital through mediation of the satisfaction with the work and, it is concluded that both the satisfaction with physical conditions and with work are positively and significantly associated with psychological capital and yet mediation is attested, albeit in a partial way. The data were collected in eight labor spaces with the use of a questionnaire and also involved a phase of observation and survey of some objective characteristics using microlog/multilink. The importance of this study lies in the innovation of the association of variables and in the empirical consolidation of the relation between them and, in practical terms, is reflected in the individual and organizational success.
