Violência, práticas e narrativas

Abstract

Esta dissertação propõe uma análise da violência enquanto fenómeno sócio-cultural cuja génese reside na agenciação de capacidades físicas. Tem como objectivo compreender a articulação entre as narrativas que orientam os comportamentos violentos e os discursos da sua justificação. Procura articular os discursos dos reclusos inserindo-os num quadro mais abrangente onde se encontram com um corpo teórico e de conceitos que pretende dar-lhes lógica. Três problemas são levantados: A definição e caracterização da violência; A influência das narrativas, enquanto resultado da História, na formação do conceito e nos comportamentos violentos; E por último como o discurso dos indivíduos se articula com esses conceitos e narrativas.

This dissertation proposes an analysis of violence as a socio-cultural phenomenon whose genesis lies in the agency of physical capacities. Its purpose is to understand the articulation between the narratives that guide the violent behaviors and the discourses of its justification. It seeks to articulate the speeches of inmates by inserting them into a more comprehensive framework where they encounter a theoretical and conceptual body that intends to give them logic. Three problems are raised: The definition and characterization of violence; The influence of narratives, as a result of history, in the formation of the concept and in violent behavior; And finally, how the discourse of individuals articulates with these concepts and narratives.
