Classes Sociais e Estratificação Social: Algumas notas sobre o desenvolvimento da publicação científica portuguesa num domínio específico da sociologia

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objectivo “mapear” o campo da publicação científica portuguesa, no âmbito da sociologia das classes e da estratificação social, a partir da análise exploratória de revistas científicas. Esta análise segue duas vertentes distintas. A primeira centra-se na caracterização das estratégias metodológicas que têm vindo a ser seguidas ao longo do tempo. A segunda remete, ainda que com pouca profundidade, para uma análise do campo da publicação deste domínio da sociologia, enquanto espaço construído, partilhado/disputado por diferentes intervenientes (investigadores, revistas e respectivos centros de investigação).

The objective of this paper is to “map” the field of Portuguese scientific publishing in relation to the sociology of classes and social stratification, on the basis of an exploratory analysis of scientific journals. This analysis reflects two distinct aspects. The first focuses on a characterisation of the methodological strategies that have been followed over time. The second concerns, albeit in limited depth, an analysis of the field of publishing in this sociological area, as a space constructed, shared and disputed by different participants (researchers, journals and the respective research centres).
