A hipótese defendida
In this paper is made the attempt to analyze the consistence of the hypothesis of a new television period, further than paleo and neo-television, as Umberto Eco defined it. Television is (again) under change, but to were is it going? The possibility presented in the thesis defines that we are living the Third Era of television. The conclusion is that the Third Era is a direct result of, in one hand, the adaptation of television contents to the social changes that have occur in the last years of the twenty century and still are under way in this first years of the twenty one century, and in the other hand, the result of changes brought by the application of the new technologies in information, specially the internet. In the third Era of Television paleo and neo television formats coexist, being added new dimensions as the migration to TV (TvWeb) and the creation of a television of the Internet (Web Tv) Television of masses gains new dimensions in the Web. New generations of TV viewers, also Net users, develop. Often they influence the process of circulation of images and news through the making small videos taking in hands, even if just for brief moments, the roles of producers and journalists. The spectator tends, also, to watch the programs that he wants and when he wants, the concept of “prime-time” is substituted by “my-time”. |
