A economia informal em Angola: breve panorâmica

Abstract

A dimensão e a importância económica e social da economia informal em contexto angolano constituem o ponto de partida deste artigo. Em Luanda, tal como sucede em inúmeros outros centros urbanos angolanos, a economia informal constitui-se como factor estruturante da organização da vida económica e social. A abordagem das características e da dinâmica da informalização na economia e na sociedade angolana suporta-se, neste artigo, sobre a identificação das suas conexões com as características da economia angolana e com a evolução do sistema político-económico ao longo dos últimos 39 anos. A estrutura do artigo contempla um esboço descritivo da evolução política e económica em Angola, uma também breve resenha sobre a evolução histórica da economia informal em Angola, a caracterização de alguns dos seus segmentos bem como um olhar sobre o carácter das relações que o Estado mantém com a economia informal, aqui analisadas com base em casos específicos de processos de formalização recentemente desencadeados.

The size and the economic and social importance of the informal economy in the Angolan context is the starting point of this article. In Luanda, as is the case in many other Angolan cities, the informal economy is constituted as a driving force of the organization of economic and social life. The approach of the characteristics and dynamics of the informal economy and the Angolan society supports up in this paper on the identification of their connections with the characteristics of the Angolan economy and the evolution of political-economic system over the last 39 years. The structure of the article includes a descriptive outline of the political and economic developments in Angola, an equally brief summary of the historical evolution of the informal economy in Angola, the characterization of some of its segments as well as a look at the nature of the relationship that the state keeps with the informal economy.
