Avaliação de uma aplicação móvel de apoio ao estudante universitário

Abstract

Inserida na temática das aplicações móveis, este estudo visa realizar uma avaliação de uma aplicação móvel de apoio ao estudante universitário, baseado na aplicação disponibilizada pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a MyCatólica. O objetivo primacial passa por avaliar o sucesso de uma aplicação móvel de apoio ao estudante no meio universitário, na ótica do aluno em três perspetivas, como produto de software, quanto à qualidade do conteúdo e qualidade no uso. Foram igualmente definidos objetivos específicos como, apurar a taxa de utilização da aplicação móvel, abordar a relação entre a visibilidade e a procura, avaliar a importância da mobilidade da informação e explicar o relacionamento das várias variáveis envolvidas e seu contributo para a satisfação geral do utilizador. A partir das métricas definidas nas ISO 9126 e ISO 25012 foi formulado um questionário que por sua vez foi disponibilizado aos alunos da UCP de Lisboa com o intuito de recolher dados que nos permitiram a concretização do estudo. Com os resultados obtidos, verificámos uma taxa de utilização de 66,46% e um grau de satisfação para com a MyCatólica de 70,6%. Como funcionalidades com mais utilidade no dia-a-dia do aluno foram identificadas o ‘Horário’, ‘Notas’, ‘Tesouraria’ e ‘Pesquisa de Salas’. Concluímos um comportamento de mediação entre, a qualidade como produto de software conjuntamente com a qualidade do conteúdo, influenciam a qualidade do uso que medeia a satisfação geral do aluno.

The need to boost, enhance and increase the interaction channels between the academia and the institution itself, are current factors, pertinent and important for an effective relationship between the several different players and its success. The ultimate goal of this study resides in the evaluation of the viability of a mobile app to help the undergraduate students, in the optics of the user and in three perspectives: as a software product, in relation to the contents quality and in relation to the quality from the user point of view. There were also specific defined goals, including the research of relation between the visibility of the app versus demand, evaluation of the importance of the mobility of the information, calculate the respective utilisation rate, explain the relation between the various studied metrics and analyse the contribution for the general satisfaction of the user. A survey was prepared from the metrics defined in ISO 9126 and ISO 25012 and was then given to the students of the UCP of Lisbon, with the goal of collecting data, which allowed us to get to the relevant and necessary deductions to the study. We verified an utilisation rate of 66,46% and a satisfaction degree of 70,6% with the MyCatólica. As the most useful functionalities to the students were referenced the "Time Schedules", "Grades", "Accounting" and "Room Search". We've demonstrated a mediation behaviour between the identified principal components. Meaning, the component related with the quality of the app as a software product, together with the component associated with the quality of the contents influenced the component related with the quality from the user point of view, which will impact the general satisfaction of the student.
