The labour market and the business world are spaces that constantly undergo rapid technological changes and, consequently, there is a need for rapid adaptation to these changes by the various departments of companies. At the same time, finding the right talent that fits into an increasingly competitive and constantly changing organizational context is an everincreasing challenge. Thus, Artificial Intelligence emerges as a technology capable of significantly impacting the performance of companies, bringing with it innovative behaviours, capable of optimizing processes and helping recruiters to find the right talent. However, this is not yet a reality felt in the Portuguese context and, therefore, it is pertinent to understand how Portuguese recruiters perceive this technology and whether it could be a future aid to be used in recruitment in Portugal. Thus, 31 interviews were conducted with recruitment and selection professionals, mostly by video call due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The results show a positive perception on behalf of recruiters towards Artificial Intelligence, with a strong desire to know and learn more about it. There is also the idea that this technology can make processes faster and more efficient, by assisting the recruiter in more administrative stages, hence allowing him to perform functions with greater added value. In this sense, recruiters defend the use of this technology in recruitment and selection, as long as its implementation and use are carried out in a complementary and integrative way.por
