The Rohingya crisis exemplifies the tragic consequences of statelessness, ethnic exclusion, and global inaction. As a persecuted Muslim minority in Myanmar, the Rohingya have faced decades of systemic discrimination, culminating in mass violence and displacement since 2017. This essay examines the crisis through the lenses of globalization, social justice, and human rights. It explores how global interconnectedness has both raised international awareness and revealed the limits of multilateral accountability. The essay highlights the failure of state institutions and international bodies to protect the Rohingya, despite widespread documentation of atrocities such as mass killings, sexual violence, and forced displacement. It also investigates the roles of regional geopolitics, international law, and civil society in shaping responses to the crisis. Grounded in principles of equity and human dignity, the analysis identifies urgent needs for legal reform, refugee protection, and the inclusion of Rohingya voices in peacebuilding efforts. The essay concludes that only a coordinated and justice-oriented global effort can address the root causes of the crisis and secure a future of dignity and rights for the Rohingya people.
