O ensino de português língua não materna e dinâmicas sociais

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar a influência dos fatores socioeconómicos e linguísticos na inclusão e sucesso de alguns alunos de PLNM, numa escola específica, situada na periferia de uma área urbana. Utilizei no trabalho entrevistas semiestruturadas a professores, coordenadores de escola, alunos de PLNM e pais. O objetivo foi a recolha de dados sobre facilitadores ou obstáculos e sugestões de melhoria à aprendizagem de PLNM. Os dados recolhidos por entrevista foram tratados pelo método de análise de conteúdo, destacando categorias para servir de indicadores, tais como o perfil sociolinguístico dos alunos de PLNM, a formação de docentes em PLNM e os recursos usados em PLNM. As principais conclusões apontam para déficit de materiais pedagógicos e de formação na área ou dificuldade da mesma chegar aos professores de PLNM. Os materiais por vezes são inadequados ao perfil dos alunos. Concluí também que a classe social é determinante no sucesso escolar. Elenquei medidas de melhoria ao PLNM, tais como: diligenciar para que a língua nepali conste no Portfolio Europeu das Línguas; apostar mais na Formação para professores de PLNM; ajustar os testes diagnósticos à capacidade intelectual e também à idade dos destinatários. Por fim, em relação aos alunos de PLNM, a Escola deve manifestar a sua missão última que é ensinar e possibilitar a integração social dos alunos, manifestando sempre expetativas positivas face a cada aluno.

This work has the purpose of studying the influence of socioeconomic and linguistic in the inclusion and in the success of specific Portuguese Non-Mother Tongue’s students, in a specific school, located into the environment of a big city. In my work, I’ve used semi-structured interviews to teachers, school coordinators, students and parents. I wanted to collect data about enablers or obstacles and suggestions of improvements to learn Portuguese Non-Mother Tongue (PLNM). The data collected by interviews were treated by the method of content analyze, with categories as indicators, such as the sociolinguistic profile, the teacher’s formation and the resources that are used in PLNM. The main conclusions are the deficit of pedagogical materials and also of formation in the area or difficulty of that formation to reach the teachers. Very often, resources are not appropriated toward the student’s profile. I concluded also that social status is very important for the success at school. I listed improvement measures, about de PLNM, such as: endeavor for the nepali language are inserted in the European Language Portfolio; to bet more in PLNM’s teachers formation; more should be done to better adjust the diagnostic tests to intellectual capacity and also to the age of recipients. At last, regarding PLNM students, school must show it’s real mission, that is to teach and to make possible the social integration of the students, always expressing positive expectations toward each student.
